It has to be nano-technology. That’s what the added “electrolytes” are. What is an “electrolyte” anyway? And why would you add it to water? That might sound crazy, but a quick search online will show you that nanotechnology is being used in water in many different ways.
As only one example, I found an article on a website maintained by the Innovation Alliance for the West Midlands. That article describes how former policeman Phil Cleary, SmartWater CEO, provided one of the keynote speeches at Venturefest West Midlands regarding “traceable liquid technology.”

I’m dumb. I’ve been getting pop bangs at back of my head so I asked how they are tracking me. Smart water is the answer. I stopped now but I’ve drunk a few bottles I admit. Yes electrolyte… A smart con. Is there any water we can drink that is safe?

Otherwise, you can avoid processed food, and drink distilled water (without added electrolytes). I do the first, but not the second.
