Long ago, my enemy used cybernetics to destroy a weapon they had formerly used.
It was drinking wine—something on which I had spent many thousands of dollars.
They use neurostrike to change the tastes of things.

You have thousands of tastebuds to detect five labelled tastes: sweet, sour, bitter, salt, and something called umami.
You might ask why we don’t have a word for umami in our language—which has the largest vocabulary on earth.

Apparently, it has to do with your cybernetically controlled eye movements—like so many other things.
You can get to know your taste-receptors by buying a bottle of wine and swishing it around, in your mouth, like a sommelier—left, right, front, and back.
Swish it over every part of your tongue, covering all the receptors, as you chew your wine.
Use your experience to find the physical location of your different taste buds.
You can also do this with whisky, or brandy, as they push expensive drinks.
Don’t add any food, and don’t change anything else.
You are doing a scientific experiment that must not have added variables.
Now watch how the taste will change, and spoil, and sweeten.
But it shouldn’t for any scientific reason.
