I am not the biggest fan of Bob Dylan, while I prefer the poetry of Robinson Jeffers.
He was a real part of America First, which was a movement to keep our country out of foreign wars fought to serve foreign powers.
But Bob Dylan got a couple of things right, as he called out the military-industrial complex in “The Masters of War.”
And Bob Dylan got a couple of things right, where he spoke of what America was, and what it is not, in his “Last Thoughts on Woody Guthrie.”
These statements seem more relevant than ever now that our government has launched an illegal war against Iran.
And it seems appropriate that someone should respond to the beautiful statement by the President of Iran.
I hope, therefore, that you will listen, above, to this American poet.
