The rare earth minerals, needed for solar energy, come from the bottom of the sea.
Right over top of them floats another emergency—giant islands of plastic waste that never used to be there, and that the United Nations could clean up, if only the United States would see the emergency and ratify the Law of the Sea, or UNCLOS, surrendering our sovereignty, to put the Area, which constitutes two-thirds of the world’s surface, under the control of the United Nations.
The Area—that’s the ocean floor to me and you—also has one hundred and fifty trillion dollars ($150,000,000,000,000.00) of gold just lying on it, waiting to be picked up, so it would be a shame not to get it while the United Nations is saving the planet.
